If a woman is pregnant in California it is considered a disability. A woman can get up to months of protected disability leave when working for a company with at least 5 employees. In addition to this disability leave a woman may also arrange for accommodations needed in the workplace. These accommodations must be reasonable, like reduced work load or more frequent trips to the restroom.
